We have three main vehicles; the Red Van, the Mobile Media Van and the Big Bus.
The Red Van is a Mercedes sprinter which is primarily used to transport equipment to and from events.
The Mobile Media Van was given to use by Kids Out in 2006 (link). This is a heavily modified IVECO Daily with an extensible awning, heavy duty battery packs, AC converters, air conditioning, laptops and a server all connected by a wireless network, amongst other features. In effect, it’s a mobile computer suite.
The Big Bus is a converted Single-decker bus, fitted out to act as a mobile youth centre. The Bus can comfortably handle 16 people working inside it and has it’s own power system enabling you to run a full suite of computers or other devices as required.
Given it’s size it is excellent for events and is currently being used two days a week as a mobile youth club for Hull City Council. The Big Bus has proven to be very popular for fairs, fun days and similar outdoor events where we can bring it on site, park up and then just open the doors and run activities.
The main advantage of the vehicles is that we can offer a full range of activities at any location and in any weather, obviously limited by the vehicles ability to physically get into a given space.
If the event doesn’t merit one of the above vehicles our workers will get to you in their own cars/vans.
